I wake up and get outta bed, no power or fame to go to my head;
My life is dull, even my name, nothing ever changes, it all stays the same.
People starve, politicians lie, I'm stuck in the cycle until I die.
Now its off to work with a grumpy boss, and a series of coworkers who are always cross.
I need someone, to make my day, but there is always something that gets in the way.
I look in the mirror, and let out a groan...

My life is sweet, even my name, when I want some change, nothing's the same.
People starve, politicians lie, but I keep myself good until I die.
Now it's off to work with a lazy boss, and series of coworkers who, to me, aren't cross.
I am someone that makes my day, and I have great friends along the way.
I look in the mirror, check out my state...

I asked for a promotion and my boss was snide,
He laughed, he yelled, and then he lied.
My life's stuck in circles no matter how hard I try, from the moment I was born until the moment I will die.
I've never been great, I'm never in the zone, therefore, that makes me

As I walk home, I'm filled with dread, there are some people who would have my head.
I was mugged on the way, and the mugger stole my bike, I punched him in the gut, and that he did not like,
He threatened to shoot me in the head. My life was slmost ended. I was almost dead.
I told the police, they arrested the punk, but it still did nothin to bring me outta my funk.
My GF and I broke up, and all this day has shown, is that 24/7 I'm
Forever Alone.

I met a hobo on the way, he asked me for some change, so I bought him some lunch, which he thought was strange.
He thanked me a lot. My mood was that much more lifted. I was in a good spot.
We walked together, offered to help him get a job, he accepted and got it - my new friend named Bob.
My GF and I hugged tight, and talked until late, about all these things that make life
Forever Great.

What could have made my life go wrong? My Brother and I never get along,
My GF is creepy and my life is bad, ever since I was a wee lil lad,
My life is dreary, and so is my soul, I can never get along, I can never reach my goal.

There are some people with will like fire, that is something I truly desire;
But to make that thing work, you must have the want, you must have the all consuming-fire!
If I had it a roar would split the sky, crumble the nation's hate!
People would stop to stare! All wars would abate!
The courage of the lion to feed the attack, the speed of a cheetah to keep them all back;
The cunning thoughts of a wily bear, the impressive agility of a fully grown hare!
I would step up to the block and make myself known...
But I have none of these things.

My whole entire life is on the brink of perfection, time's not just passing me, it's carrying me in one direction,
There are some people with no self-esteem, they don't want to be on anyone's team;
But for that to work out, they themselves have to go far, further than whatever it may seem!
If I had no confidence I'd whither away, say nothing, have no need to stay!
People would walk on! All wars would play!
The fear of a spider about to be crushed, the sadness of a frog, stuck in the mush;
The looped thoughts of a lemming, with anxiety infinitely stemming!
I'd probably die, never leaving my state.
But I suffer none of these things.
I'm forever great.
